Introduction:
Easy access to chicken and eggs can be made possible by keeping chickens at home. Breeding of chickens is very easy and not alien to us that until few years ago they were a part of our homes. Breeding of laying hens is best because you can get about 5 to 6 eggs per week per hen. Making a chicken coop is very easy. Chickens can be fed kitchen scraps such as breads, vegetables, or mixed grains among other things or can be fed commercial feed (Copdock Mill Range Layers Pellets) which is easily available in every city.
A good egg-laying hen costs around Rs 400 to 500 and a hen lays an average of 200 eggs per year. Thus, if you keep 10 chickens, you can get 7 to 8 eggs per day, that is about 170 to 180 eggs per month. This way you can feed your family as well as earn extra income by selling extra eggs.
